One Day Closer to Navidad!

So one day close to Christmas! I have a small correction to the number of family members that might be at the family christmas. Instead of just 25 or so people, it sounds like it might be closer to 60. That's right, 60. More amazingly, that's only about half the family. When all the grandparents & grandkids get together, it's 109 people. Yeah, that's a lot of mouths to feed. Most of the siblings of our host parents have 5-6 kids, and the younger families only have 2-3. I guess the grandmother's house is right in the middle of town and is quite an amazing place. We'll let you know just how palatial this palace turns out to be!

Oh, and a big thank you to Mac and Catherine, my classmates from Bainbridge Island. Since we couldn't get pictures off our camera, we "borrowed" a few of their great photos from their blog to dress up our page a bit.

We went out last night with Julia for our last fiesta together. She leaves tomorrow to go back to Germany after her 3 1/2 month work/study job. She is getting sad to leave (she has a special someone here and soon they will have to part ways). We found a great little
place that serves crepes and has a full bar. Crepes for the ladies, cocktails for me! It's a little slice of heaven. I can't figure out why there were not many people there. Strange.... It has been fun to get to know her and how things work in Germany. We will have to get over there to visit her. I have a feeling she will know where the best discos are in town.

Not much else new here. We are still trying to book our hotel for this weekend. Hopefully we will figure that out today. If not, we'll just walk around the streets and find a nice hostel... :)

Hasta luego.
